1. The townspeople think something terrible happened to the dwarves, they thought Thorin came out of the mountain with forging gold.
2. Bard is someone who cares about the townspeople and the master tries to fet away rather than fighting the dragon.
3. The setting of the town is important because that is where Smaug destroys the town and the townspeople think the drarves are guilty for the dragon getting out of the cave.
4.After reading chapter 12, there was a suspision that smaug would come back for the townspeople and it happened in this chapter.
5.The wood-eleves journey east becuase they want to get revenge against the dwarves for what happened with Smaug.
6. Maybe the townspeople will find the drwaves and want the treasure that they now have.
