1. Bilbo and the dwarves are very energetic and afraid of smaug. Bilbo is the guy that scopes things out in this chapter and finds smaug and he is the helper in this chapter.
2. its bilbos first step to becoming a bugular and showing the dwarves their treasure that lys in smaugs cave.
3. He shows that smaug is wise and he uses the riddle talk to show smaugs wisdom and power.
4. Bilbo trys to lie to smaug and tell him that he isnt traveling with dwarves and smaug trys to get bilbo to come out and he can have a fair share of the treasure. neither work and the just talk to eachother.
5. i think the biggest mistake is that bilbo tells him he is a barrell rider and he taunts smaug.
6. it makes them very happy and it excites them to have their gold and treasure back.
